East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens
A feast of formal design, decorative exuberance and brilliant planting. A series of Garden ‘rooms’.

Pensthorpe
Pensthorpe provides year-round colour and interest. Wildlife-rich gardens created by award-winning designers such as Piet Oudolf.

Sheringham Park (National Trust)
The most complete and best preserved example of landscape gardener Humphry Repton’s work. Designed in 1812 and home to magnificent veteran trees. Magificent Rhodedendrons and Azaleas in season.

Hindringham Hall
Shortlisted for the Historic Houses Garden of the Year Award 2020. Hindringham Hall Gardens & Medieval Fishponds (dating from 1150 AD, these are some of the best preserved ponds in East Anglia). Open to visitors twice a week between April and October.


Other Heritage Attractions
North Norfolk Railway
Known as the ‘Poppy Line’ it runs Holt to Sheringham via Weybourne
Steam and Diesel Trains through scenic countryside. Special events throughout the year including very popular 40’s weekend.

The Muckleburgh Military Collection
The Uk’s largest privately owned military collection. Including tanks, armoured cars, bombs, artillery and missiles used by the allied armies during World War II.

Historic Houses

Blickling Estate (National Trust) near Aylsham
55 acres of topiary, sweeping lawns, herbaceous borders, temple and lake.

Felbrigg Hall (National Trust) near Cromer
Unaltered 17th-century house noted for its Jacobean architecture and fine Georgian interior. Outside the house are a walled garden, an orangery and orchards

Holkham Hall
A classic 18th century Palladian-style mansion. Home of the Earls of Leicester and a living treasure house of artistic and architectural history. Situated in a 3,000 acre deer park. Attractions include: ‘Field to Fork’, which is an interactive experience all about food and farming. Gift Shop, art gallery, café, tearooms, lake cruises and The Victoria Hotel. Holkham Beach and Nature Reserve.

Houghton Hall
Built by Great Britain‘s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole. Houghton has a wonderful interior, award winning 5 acre garden, contemporary sculpture park and restaurant.
Langham Dome
This dome, now an interactive visitor centre was once used to train people to shoot down enemy aircraft during World War II. Journey back in time and experience what life was like for those who served at RAF Langham.

Binham Priory
A ruined Benedictine Priory founded in the 11th century.
